Taylor Bystrom
Taylor Bystrom American Pop Artist.
Transformation is what I would describe my paintings as portraying, growing up as a queer transgender teenager in the Bible Belt of Tennessee life was not ideal, but instead of telling a story about depression and struggle my story is a celebration told with dark humor. All of my work is 3d with red and blue 3D glasses. A happy accident and the most wonderful discovery that also perfectly explains the pink and blue binary world that I grew up in. My mission as an artist is to create a world of transparency where people are free to live unafraid of their authentic selves. I want to tell my story so future generations do not grow up the way that I did. My work is all about the self made decisions that have paved my personal road to happiness. Often asked about my obsession with T’s and teeth I am always compelled to say “ Trying To Get Trans Rights Is Like Pulling Teeth”.
